What a session includes

Every session is hands-on and built around real nursery work — not a lecture. Exact activities vary by age group and time of year.

Hands-on planting

Students plant and pot their own seedling to understand root systems, soil, and early growth firsthand.

Guided nursery tour

A walk through the working nursery, seeing trees at every stage from cutting to mature, fruiting tree.

Food-origin discussion

Age-appropriate conversation on where fruit comes from, pollination, and what a tree needs to thrive in Florida.

Take-home plant

Most sessions send students home with the seedling or tree they worked with, to continue observing growth.

Flexible scheduling

Sessions can be arranged for individual families, homeschool co-ops, or StepUp provider groups.

StepUp eligible

As a Direct StepUp Provider, sessions can be booked through StepUp for Students funding where applicable.
